thinking about leadership

This week I was invited to share my experiences along the road to leadership with colleagues who are considering pursuing the administration (Principal / Vice Principal) route themselves. I have always considered myself very fortunate and I felt honoured to be asked to present. I am on a two week break from my PQP2 course, but working on my presentation has given me the opportunity to continue reflecting on my journey and my goals. Of course, keep in mind that there are countless projects you might consider – the key is to find a project that will allow you to explore your leadership style and expose your strengths and your passion while adding to your school or your district – think character education, technology integration, literacy, etc…. I will add a post with a synopsis of my ‘talk’ tomorrow.
